The Lumineers, Weezer And More Playing Beale Street Music Festival

With festival season upon us, the Beale Street Music Festival has announced the 2020 lineup on Wednesday (February 12).

The festival is held in Tom Lee Park alongside the Mississippi River in downtown Memphis, Tennessee and will take place from May 1-3.

This year's lineup boasts some incredible names in the rock world. Taking the stage in May will be The Lumineers, Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins, The 1975, The Avett Brothers, Lindsey Buckingham, Liam Gallagher, 311, Of Monsters And Men, Portugal. The Man, Deftones, AJR and so many more.

But it's not just a rock fest. For those who want to expand their music tastes, you can also catch sets from Lil Wayne, DaBaby, Waka Flocka Flame, Mavis Staples, and others during the three-day festival.

Earlier today, after seeing the male-centric lineups for another festival, The 1975's Matty Healy made a vow that his band will start to incorporate an inclusion rider in its contracts for music festivals as a way to get more women and non-binary acts on the lineups. The 1975's Beale Street set will take place at the start of its recently-announced North American tour; which kicks off on April 27 in Houston, TX.

The Lumineers will also hit up the Beale Street Music Festival between dates of their III The World Tour — which the band just expanded with a bunch of new dates. While Of Monsters And Men will squeeze in a set during the 2020 North American Fever Dream Tour.
