Coachella's first weekend is set to go down this weekend, and one of the most talked about acts isn't a headliner: it's No Doubt's surprise reunion. Though fans who are able to make it to the festival are surely excited to see the band back together for the first time in nearly 10 years, those who aren't able to go are crossing their fingers for a full-blown reunion tour. But how likely is that?
Gwen Stefani spoke about No Doubt's future in a new interview with Nylon. “Well, I don’t have a crystal ball,” the singer confessed. “Most things have surprised me in life. One of the things I’ve learned is to be present in the moment and try to absorb what’s happening around me instead of looking ahead.”
“[Coachella is] going to be a really nice bow to tie on the relationship, because we were kids [when we met]," she added. “I already know what it’s going to feel like because we’re just so in sync when we’re onstage. It’s going to feel like riding a bike again. We’re going to be laughing, and we’re going to look at each other and go, ‘Oh my gosh — there you are.’”
No Doubt isn't the only '90s band to reunite at Coachella. Sublime is also getting back together, with late frontman Bradley Nowell's son Jakob on vocals. Coachella is set to go down April 12-14 and April 19-21 at Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA. See the full lineup here.
