Happy "Fenway Park Pizza Incident" Anniversary!

Fenway Park has been the scene of some of the greatest moments in baseball from the likes of Big Papi, Carlton Fisk, Ted Williams, and Pedro Martinez, but on April 16, 2007 it was a play in the stands that made history.

During a Patriots Day matinee between the Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels, J.D. Drew sent a spiraling foul ball towards the edge of the left field stands. As fans looked upward for a souvenir, Angels left fielder Garrett Anderson tracked the ball right into Box 82. Beers went flying, and out of nowhere, a slice of pizza connected with the shoulder of Red Sox fan Jason Sole.

None of this would have mattered if it wasn't for the play by play of Red Sox broadcasters Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo. They broke it down in slow motion and different angles over and over while Don lost it on air.

So, while we wait for baseball to return to America's Most Beloved Ballpark, relive the pizza throw heard 'round the world on this day 2007. #DoYouThinkHeWantsSomePizza
