Jameson Williams committed to Ohio State after the school had announced Urban Meyer’s suspension and Brian Hartline had been elevated to wide receivers coach. That gave the Buckeyes some much needed recruiting momentum during a potentially fraught time. And, yes, that does mean Williams waited awhile before picking a school, but almost everything else he does, he does quickly. The track star owns the Missouri state record for the 300-meter hurdles (37.47), a record once held by Ezekiel Elliott. And he’s so explosive that his junior year in football, he recorded 15 touchdowns on 36 receptions. It was 24 touchdowns on 68 catches his senior year, when his team was the state championship runner-up.
