Obie has infused a slightly different Golden Rule in his business; treating his clients only as he would want someone to treat his own mother. He establishes trust early on and promises to be a good listener. He believes that relationships are everything, and truly works to understands his client’s wants and needs as it pertains to their Real Estate portfolio. He promises to educate and guide his clients as he navigates them to their Real Estate goals. Obie believes that you win with people!

Obie grew up in Mansfield, Ohio and graduated from Madison Comprehensive High School. Obie then enrolled at The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology. While achieving in the classroom Obie decided to Walk-On to the Buckeye football team. As a result of his hard work and commitment, he eventually earned a scholarship under Hall of Fame Coach, John Cooper. A dedication to excellence has allowed Obie to transfer those same skills that earned him a scholarship into a successful career in the Real Estate Industry. Obie has over 17 years of knowledge and experience in the Title Industry, then on to a Licensed Real Estate Agent and now Licensed Real Estate Broker and Owner of Buckeye National Realty in Gahanna.

Obie believes in paying it forward and investing time in his community. As a caseworker for Franklin County Children’s Services and a counselor with the Ohio Youth Advocate Program, he helped and educated children in the community, exposing them to different perspectives while ensuring a safe and secure environment. Coming from a social service background allows Obie to quickly relate to his clients as he is passionate about helping them overcome obstacles that they may encounter. Obie also founded The Breakfast Club, an organization in which local CEO’s and Upper Management help former athletes’ transition into the business community, creating a platform for success. Obie lives in Gahanna and has three children. He enjoys spending his free time at art museums,  volunteering,  playing hand percussion and loves attending local live jazz events. 

It has been a long time since Obie has been on the gridiron so many tend to notice him most recently as a co-host of The Football Fever, The Ohio State Pre and Post-Game Show on ABC6. Obie began his television career in 2010 and simply loved bringing insider information to Buckeye Nation. After nearly 7 years on the air, Obie decided to give the microphone a rest to focus on his business and children, But he has vowed to return to the set soon.

Obie is the creator and host of a local radio show, Real Estate Stocks and Jocks focuses on educating its listeners about the local real estate market and current trends in the financial world. Hosting local sports figures and real estate and financial industry experts, Obie provides valuable local information to his listeners.
